suggestion

heres an idea, y don't we make a website? it will be linked to this website of course. we could have news on HG/SS (we'd get news off other websites ) and a pokedex, with sprites and the pokemons info nicked from other websites. i know it will be hard but i could set up the website when i get back from my hols. i reckon the site will really help with gaining new addictions. can anyone think of a name and does anyone have any experience in website-making before?

I like the idea and i know html and php so i could be a helper.

Anyway, I don't recommend making a site, 'cause it would not be maintained ong enough, IMO. Anyway, if people don't know about the forums, what make you think they'll know about the site.

Furthermore, you aren't going to name it after the forums? If you have to seperately named places, no-one will know that they're related, unless you put a huge banner saying: THE WEBSITE VERSION OF POKÉADDICT FORUMS.

It's an okay idea, but I'm personally against it.

I never said there was a problem with the thread, just saying that the idea itself was a bit shoddy. :/

I was rushing, I meant that we could just have a thread instead of the website.

That'd be okay, I s'pose. but still, taking info from people without credit is plagarism I mean, you could source the info from, i.e., CoroCoro, and then type it in your own words, linking to the source.

Not a bad idea, but not a good idea, either. :/

Sorry i didn't post this earlier, problems with dsi. Anyway, .ice your probably right, we should work on getting the forum more members and donations rather than spending our time making an entirely new website. I too am strongly against plagiarism so all we would be taking from other websites is sprites for the pokedex. We would ask permission first of course and give credit. News would be sourced from other websites but written in our words since we don't exactly have any nintendo insiders. So shall we wait a bit, make it now or not at all?

Personaly? Not at all. But that's my opinion. My decision isn't final (I'm not even a mod. =P)
